Kerry Decker

Kerry Decker is the Principal of PS/IS 126 and the Manhattan Academy of Technology, a Pre-k to 8 school in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This is Kerry's sixth academic year as Principal of the school. Kerry dual majored in English and Spanish at University of Wisconsin-Madison and then attended National Louis University in Chicago where she received a Masters in Teaching. She started out her teaching career in Villa Park, Illinois before moving to the Middle East to teach at the American School of Kuwait, a State Department School. After four years abroad, Kerry moved to New York City in 2001 to attend Teachers College, Columbia University where she attained her Ed.M in Educational Leadership. Post graduation she worked as an Assistant Principal at Middle School 51 in Park Slope, Brooklyn before taking the helm at PS/IS 126 MAT in Manhattan in June 2004.
